Pats vs. Raiders: Live Blog 2nd Period

....Has started.

....I don't know but it's looking like it's going to get nasty.

....1:00 in Neigum and Ruopp exchange pleasantries after a hard hit. Neigum gets the extra two for instigating (and a 10) sending the Raiders to the man advantage. I would give Ruopp the edge.

....The Pats pick up another minor as Bidlevskii gets a slaching penalty pitting the Raiders up two for 1:11.

....Great kill. back to 5 on 5.

....Fistfights galore!! Mitchell vs. Corbin, Blidstrand vs. Hlinka. Two good scraps. Mitchell gets the advantage in his. Blidstrand stood in and chucked some bombs... Hlinka got dropped. Raiders 18 F, 24 R, 16 F GM, Pats 13 R, 10 F, 5 F GM.

....This is FUN.

....6:53 Rowley takes some huge liberties on Weal and Weal returns the favour. Rowley gets roughing and Weal gets cross checking. Some 4 on 4.

....7:55 Ruopp gets a hooking minor sending the Pats to the man advantage.

....9:22 Bell takes a slashing call on Rowley killing the powerplay. 4on4 for for just over 30 seconds then PA will go to the powerplay.

....10:44 Bidlevskii gets a slashing call and sends the Raiders to the 5on3 again!

....another great kill by the Pats.

....13:24 Raiders make it 4-2 on a screen shot goal that eludes Hewitt. Maylan gets the goal on the tip assited by Ruopp.

....14:32 Olstad restores the Pats 3 goal lead at 5-2 following up on a Weal shot and burying the rebound. Olstad gets his 7th from Weal and Mitchell.

....18:31 Raiders climb back to within 2 at 5-3 on a goal by Herle on a huge rebound given up by Hewitt. Ruopp and Deck grab the assists.

....18:58 HUGE save by Hewitt denying an almost sure goal by the Rider left winger.

....19:06 Revenko gets a hooking minor putting the Pats back up a man.

....5-3 Pats end of 2. 23-22 shots for the Raiders.

There are a few Pats Alumni with birthdays: There are a handful of #ReginaPats alumni with August 4th birthdays... Peter Sternig (1944) Bob Taylor (1946) Glen Burdon (1954) Dean Solheim (1958) Jamie Dubberley (1966) — Kevin Shaw (@theblueliner) August 5, 2021

I've been trying to think about...

how to add more content to TheBlueliner but I'm not sure what I want to add here. I keep on saying to check back in the near future but I just never get back here. I have a couple of other things going on and I hope that I have more time to focus on things that I can put here. Seeing as Twitter is my main source I'll start embedding my tweets here. Earlier in the year, Rob Vanstone did a story on me for the Leader-Post which I'll share here: As far back as 41-year-old Kevin Shaw can remember, he has been fascinated with the @WHLPats — as evidenced by his extensive collection https://t.co/UD8JrxQSwG #WHL — Regina Leader-Post (@leaderpost) February 7, 2020 Some of my regular daily Tweets include Pats Alumni and their birthdays. I usually write a small biography on each player that had birthdays. July 11th's @WHLPats alumni birthdays...
