Day 1: Rookie Scrimmage Red/Gold

The Rooks are back at it...

Gold takes the very early lead on a soft goal scored by #21 (Jack Rodewald).

Red ties it up 20 or so seconds later on a crease crash goal in a mad scramble. I believe #23 potted the goal.

Gold restores the lead on yet another suspect goal. #21 (Rodewald) scores five-hole.

Red ties it up on a goal by #19 sniping top shelf.

Red takes the lead on a goal by #24 beating the tender glove side.

After the first 20 minute session it's Red 3 Gold 2. Both Teams switch netminders for this period.... 43 started for Red, 33 for Gold. Red now has 41 between the pipes and 30 is in for Gold.

Red gains a 2 goal advantage on a slapper by #18 that cleanly beats the netminder high glove side.

Gold cuts into the lead on a goal by #27. Klimchuk broke in alone and hit iron and 27 deposited the loose puck.

Gold pulls their goalie and #19 Red is able to deposit an insurance marker with less than a minute to go. The lead is increased back to 2.

The buzzer sounds to end the game. Final score 5-3 Red.
