Shantz nets first career WHL goal

Congratulations are in order for Zackary Shantz as the first-year forward notched his first career WHL goal in game one of the Regina Pats and Saskatoon Blades first-round playoff series. His goal opened the scoring in the series in the second period on a nice feed from Stanislav Svozil.

From what I have been able to track down, Shantz is just the sixth Pat player to score their first career WHL goal (1966-present) in the playoffs. The last player to do so was Craig Lineker back in the 2003 playoffs.

The others you ask? Kevin Haller (1988 playoffs), Dirk Graham (1976 playoffs), Brad Anderson (1973 playoffs), and Ken Cross (1967 playoffs).
