Pats Playoffs vs. Wheat Kings

This will be the 11th season in which the Pats will face the Wheat Kings in the playoffs. There have been 8 previous series and 2 season in which the teams participated in a round robin.

1971-72:
Pats beat the Wheat Kings in a best of 7, 4 games to 2. (27-16)

1977-78:
Round Robin - Pats and Wheat Kings played 4 times both teams winning twice. Pats and Flin Flon advanced. (19-21)

1979-80:
Round Robin - Pats and Wheat Kings played 2 games, splitting the contests. Pats and Medicine Hat advanced. (9-9)

1980-81:
Pats beat the Wheat Kings in a best of 7, 4 games to 1. (34-25)

1981-82:
Pats beat the Wheat Kings in a best of 7, 4 games to 0. (44-17)

1983-84:
Round Robin (for placement) - Pats beat Brandon both contests in which they played. (15-9)

Pats then beat Brandon in a best of 3 to advance, 2 games to 1. (16-12)

1993-94:
Wheat Kings beat the Pats in a best of 5, 3 games to 1. (11-20)

1997-98:
Wheat Kings beat the Pats in a best of 7, 4 games to 1. (14-24)

2002-03:
Wheat Kings beat the Pats in a best of 7, 4 games to 1. (7-13)

2013-14:
Wheat Kings beat the Pats in a best of 7, 4 games to 0. (12-24)

The Pats have won just 3 of the last 18 playoff games against Brandon in losing the last four series against the Wheat Kings. Brandon has outscored the Pats 81-44 in those 18 contests.

History is history and these aren't the normal pushover Pats. Don't count this team out.
