Pats hire Rob Muntain as Goalie Coach

Regina, Saskatchewan – Regina Pats General Manager Chad Lang is proud to announce the hiring of Rob Muntain as goalie coach.

Rob brings an extensive resume working with young goaltenders across Saskatchewan. With the Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA), Rob put together the goaltending curriculum while he was the head goaltending consultant. Rob has also had a role with Hockey Canada in the development of young goaltenders not just in Saskatchewan, but across the country. Highlights include: Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Under 22 Development Camp and the National Goaltender’s Coaches Workshop. Rob is currently an officer in the Regina Police Service.

Prior to coaching, Rob played in the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings and in the SJHL with the Kindersley Klippers and Melville Millionaires where he was a three time league All-Star and the SJHL’s Top Goaltender in the 1999-00 season. Rob then went on to play for the University of Regina getting named a Can West and CIS All-Canadian in 2003-04 as well as helping Team Canada win Bronze at the World University Games in 2003.

Rob will join the Pats immediately and prepare for next week’s training camp.
