Blue/White "Veteran" Scrimmage 2

(just a note... I didn't take any pictures of this scrimmage)

30 White and 35 Beukeboom Blue are the starters.

1:51 in Weal beats Beukeboom with a backhand on a nice feed from #20. 1-0 White.

#11 Blue is handed a gift to tie the game at one. Rebound goes off the defender and is just sitting there for 11 to slide the puck in.

1-1 after 1.

33 in net for white and Beukeboom stays in for Blue.

Ouellette makes the score 2-1 White with an in close wrister that fools Beukeboom glove side.

With about 11 minutes left Scheidl breaks in and dodges the d and puts a backhander top shelf past Whites goalie. 2-2.

Hewitt now in goal for team blue.

The second ends 2-2.

Ketlo is now in net for team white and Hewitt remains in goal for team blue.

Mitchell gets called for tripping giving team white the PP (about three minutes into the third).

18 White scores to make it 3-2 as his shot squeezes through Hewitt and just over the goal line.

Martell snipes on a beauty glove side over Hewitt. I'm not sure if the defender was in the way but Hewitt gave him a glare. 4-2 White.

Weal makes it 5-2 for White as he has an easy tap in past Hewitt on a feed from Martell. It looked like Hewitt played the shot and was out of position to get to the pass. About 3 minutes left.

Final score 5-2 Team White.

I'll have some further thoughts later tonight.

I've been trying to think about...

how to add more content to TheBlueliner but I'm not sure what I want to add here. I keep on saying to check back in the near future but I just never get back here. I have a couple of other things going on and I hope that I have more time to focus on things that I can put here. Seeing as Twitter is my main source I'll start embedding my tweets here. Earlier in the year, Rob Vanstone did a story on me for the Leader-Post which I'll share here: As far back as 41-year-old Kevin Shaw can remember, he has been fascinated with the @WHLPats — as evidenced by his extensive collection https://t.co/UD8JrxQSwG #WHL — Regina Leader-Post (@leaderpost) February 7, 2020 Some of my regular daily Tweets include Pats Alumni and their birthdays.
