Live Blog: Pats v Raiders Second Period

....In 18 minutes.

....0:16 Pats get an early powerplay on a high sticking call to Fiddler.

....0:26 Pats get a 5on3 for 1:50 on a tripping call to Rowley.

....1:20 Mitchell ends the 5on3 taking a bad roughing call. Pats still on the powerplay 4on3.

....Nothing happening. Raiders have a 54 second powerplay.

....4:41 Pats to the powerplay on a tripping call to Yaworski.

....5:24 Weal gives the Pats the lead on a nice stickhandle past Deck and sliding the puck past Williams for the Old Dutch powerplay goal. Assists to Davidson and Mitchell. 3-2 Pats.

....7:00 Corbin takes a tripping penalty giving the Pats another man advantage. A couple nice chances but to no avail.

....9:45 Neigum takes a chincy slashing call giving the Raiders a powerplay.

....10:28 Raiders tie it up on the powerplay. Not a great kill by the Pats d. A very similar goal to the Raiders first powerplay (actually the same scoring play as well I think). McNeill from Rowley and Corbin. 3-3.

....11:21 a fairly weak goal for the Raiders Maylan who is able to slide the puck 5 hole past Hewitt. The defence didn't help much on this one. Parker with the lone assist. 4-3 Raiders.

....12:53 Blidstrand takes a bad holding call giving the Raiders their 5th powerplay of the night. They have already scored twice with the man advantage both by McNeill. Decent kill by the Pats

....Not much to report other than the Pats were robbed of a goal (in my opinion anyway). 4-3 end of the 2nd.

....27-24 Shots for the Raiders.

....Third up soon.

I've been trying to think about...

how to add more content to TheBlueliner but I'm not sure what I want to add here. I keep on saying to check back in the near future but I just never get back here. I have a couple of other things going on and I hope that I have more time to focus on things that I can put here. Seeing as Twitter is my main source I'll start embedding my tweets here. Earlier in the year, Rob Vanstone did a story on me for the Leader-Post which I'll share here: As far back as 41-year-old Kevin Shaw can remember, he has been fascinated with the @WHLPats — as evidenced by his extensive collection https://t.co/UD8JrxQSwG #WHL — Regina Leader-Post (@leaderpost) February 7, 2020 Some of my regular daily Tweets include Pats Alumni and their birthdays. I usually write a small biography on each player that had birthdays. July 11th's @WHLPats alumni birthdays...
