Live Blog: Pats v Oil Kings: 2nd Period

....up next!

....Oil Kings take a minor for checking from behind by Piluso. Pats to the PP less than a minute into the 2nd (:42).

....Yet another short PP in this game. Weal takes a high sticking minor 50 seconds into the PP (1:32). More 4on4.

....Pats go on the kill with 50 seconds remaining in the Weal minor.

....Oh man another chincy call. Mitchell gets a minor for tripping at 5:10 sending EDM to the powerplay.... We'll see how long this powerplay lasts....

....Pats kill it. Edmonton had a couple chances and St. Croix missed on a one timer that he shot through the crease.

....Another iffy call again on Mitchell. Slashing is the call at 9:08. Edmonton on the powerplay.

....If I'm not mistaken Gagnon has made most (if not all of the calls.... many are pretty bad on both teams). This is silly.

....Foster puts the Oil Kings up 3-1 on a pretty goal that beats Hewitt top shelf as he was down protecting the post. Reners and Hrbas pick up the assists at 10:53.

....The Pats have 2 shots 12:10 into this period.... no thanks to the officials.

....A little rough stuff along the Oil King bench... Davidson and Weal for the Pats and Laroque and Foster. for the Oil Kings each get minors. play stays 5on5.

....Shots in the period 16-5 for the Oil Kings. 25-12 overall.

I've been trying to think about...

how to add more content to TheBlueliner but I'm not sure what I want to add here. I keep on saying to check back in the near future but I just never get back here. I have a couple of other things going on and I hope that I have more time to focus on things that I can put here. Seeing as Twitter is my main source I'll start embedding my tweets here. Earlier in the year, Rob Vanstone did a story on me for the Leader-Post which I'll share here: As far back as 41-year-old Kevin Shaw can remember, he has been fascinated with the @WHLPats — as evidenced by his extensive collection https://t.co/UD8JrxQSwG #WHL — Regina Leader-Post (@leaderpost) February 7, 2020 Some of my regular daily Tweets include Pats Alumni and their birthdays. I usually write a small biography on each player that had birthdays. July 11th's @WHLPats alumni birthdays...
