Throwback Thursday

You'd be surprised at some of the Pats things that I've collected over my lifetime. Or for the people that know me it really wouldn't surprise you. I've been going through my many things and found this...

I found this on eBay a couple of years ago. It's a ticket stub from the Pats at Oil Kings game from the day I was born. I thought I'd share it and maybe some one would get a kick out of it. By the way the Pats were shellacked 8-2. From the Leader-Post:

Regina coach Gregg Pilling shuffled Jeff Lastiwka and Ken McNabb several times with Lastiwka being the victim of seven Edmonton's goals.

"There was no particular reason for switching the goalies." said Pilling. "The writing was on the wall by the time the national anthem finished, so I figured I may as well use both netminders."

January 21st

On this date in 1981 the Pats defeated the Winnipeg Warriors 11-0. Darren Bobyck led the charge with the hat trick, Brent Pascal added a pair with singles coming from Darren Galley, Jari Helle, Bill Ansell, Garth Butcher, Dave Michayluk and Barry Trotz. Micahyluk and Jock Callander also chipped in with 4 helpers each. Neal Girard stopped 37 shots for his 2nd shutout of the season.

-----
The Pats have an All-Time record of 15-6-3.
11-1-3 at home and 4-5-0 on the road.

-----
Ex-Pats born on this date: Gerry Galloway (1958), Bobby Lowes (1963), Dmitri Yakushin (1978), Chris Anderson (1979), Kyle Deck (1986), Colton Kroeker (1997).

That's it for tonight.

Adam Brooks: Moving on up

I just realized that I haven't posted in a while so I figured I would do a quick post on Adam Brooks as he moves his way up the Pats All-Time Lists.... for a player that didn't have much of a chance as a 16 or 17 year old he's done nicely to get himself moving into some decent company as he continues to progress.

On to Adam Brooks....

With his 224 games played Brooks has moved into 40th All-Time in Pats history. If Brooks was to play the last 27 games of the season he would move into sole position of 22nd surpassing Kevin Clemens who played in 250 games and would put him one behind Dyson Stevenson for 21st.

Statistically speaking Brooks will gradually move up the chain, bt he has broken into the top 100 for all offensive categories...

Goals: 64 - Tied for 90th with Lars Pettersen and Gerry Galloway; 2 behind Russ Hewson and Ron Parent for 88th
Assists: 90 - Tied for 89th with Grant Jacobsen; one behind Brad Lauer for 88th
Points: 154 - 92nd; one behind Garth Murray for 91st

I will do an update later on in the season.
