Pats bomb Warriors

Pats bomb Warriors
February 24, 2012. 11:18 pm • Section: Sports

It’s getting tougher and tougher for the Regina Pats to fly under the radar.
Regina continued its assault on the WHL’s elite Friday night with an 8-2 spanking of the East Division-leading Moose Jaw Warriors before 5,498 boisterous fans at the Brandt Centre. It was the Pats’ third straight win over Moose Jaw after dropping the first three games of the season series.
Each of the previous meetings between Regina and Moose Jaw — potential first-round playoff combatants — had gone down to the wire, with three of them requiring overtime and neither side surpassing the three-goal barrier.
However, that trend came to an abrupt and shocking halt Friday.
“There isn’t really much to say,” lamented Warriors assistant captain Quinton Howden, whose team has lost three in a row. “(The Pats) deserved to win the game. They played a lot better than we did. We just didn’t work. There’s no excuses. There’s nothing really we can say. We have to be able to let go of this one and rebound tomorrow.”

Game Day!

on February 24, 2012 by Kevin Shaw |

I'm still here/I'm back

After some unforeseen technical circumstances I've had either no access or very little access to blogger.

But I'm hoping that everything is resolved and am looking at getting back into the swing of things.

Go Pats Go!

Well what have I missed?

I've been around and just not in the mood for blogging recently. I know I said that I was going to be more involved but I have to admit that my side projects are taking a little more of my time than I figured so the blog has taken a "hit" so to speak. I won't guarantee anything but I will try my best to spend more time here in the future. I'm taking my netbook to the game tonight and plan on doing some blogging.... probably not live blogging but we'll see.

A couple of things:

All the best to Dan Plaster as he takes on a new role with the Riders. I was just getting used to the "greasy" play and all of the "pizza deliveries" on the radio broadcasts. Thank you for keeping me in the loop!

Congratulations are in order for one Mr. Adam Beukeboom as he posted his first career shutout last night. Well deserved young man. Great job.

As always,

GO PATS GO!
