Live Blog: Pats v Rebels - Second Period

....Up next. The Pats are primed to lose their cool and this could get ugly!

....The Pats are able to kill the Neigum penalty with little harm done... one shot on the PP.

....3:16 in Petrovic cranks Weal with a high chcek and Mitchell comes in to stand up to Petrovic and a good scrap ensues. No real big shots... A draw? Mitchell picks up the instigator and is tossed for 17 minutes. Davidson and Persson pick up offsetting misconduct penalties during the situation.

....Kuemper gives the Pats their first PP of the game when he played the puck outside the trapezoid (barely) 4:42 in. Yay!

....Unproductive powerplay. Missing Davidson and Mitchell doesn't help.

....We aren't winning many battles and can't seem to get any forecheck going tonight.

....Rebels Elson gets called for slashing 9:25 on a bad rather weak (bad call). Pats go to the PP.

....A minute in I thought the PP was over but the call was evened up. Bell for tripping and Archer for unsportsmanlike conduct.

....These refs are out to lunch tonight.

....Pats are not playing well at all.

....Rebels make the score 5-0 on only their 20th shot of the game 13:36 into the second. Kudrna takes advantage of very poor defensive zone play and beats Hewitt who was down and out Kambietz gets the lone assist.

....C'mon guys turn this thing around!!!

....At 14:21 Neigum decides to drop the mitts with Ferguson and the outcome isn't good for him. First Neigum gets jerseyed and Ferguson holds off andlets him get his sweater re-aligned only to get tossed to the ice shortly thereafter. Ferguson with the win.

....Red Deer Weller gets called for elbowing on a high hit on Jung. Stevenson tried to get him to go but to no avail... 15:22 in. PP Regina.

....Regina is looking very frustrated. It seems like everything they try just isn't working.

....Pats get a short 5on3 on a hooking call to Deagle. Hopefully we can capitalize.

....Nice hit by Davidson on his fellow #3 with less than 30 seconds left.

....6-5 Pats shots in the period. 20-12 overall for Red Deer.
