Live Blog Jan. 22/11: Pats v Canes 1st Period

....Damien Ketlo gets his second straight start after picking up an umpressive 47 save shutout last night in Swift Current.

....Lineup looks as it did last night with Pavkovich and Moser out with injuries. Ouellette is wearing a cage tonight.

....Regan Vetter is the referee tonight.

....Molson Cup 3 Stars are Weal (3), Hewitt (2) and Reddin (1).

....Jeff Fang (I think) sang the anthem.... definite baritone did a good job.

....I'm listening to the BlackBerry Harvard Broadcasting App. and man it's behind. It's about a minute and a half behind. This will be interesting.

....3:39 Reddin coughs the puck up and takes a slashing penalty. Canes to the powerplay.

....Pats kill the penalty.

....5:45 Braes takes a minor penalty for hooking shortly after their powerplay sending the Pats to the man advantage.

....6-0 shots for the Canes now.

....It's been a fairly uneventful go of things since my last update. Stevenson, Stephenson and Rieder had a couple of good chances.

....16:19 R. Maxwell takes a holding penalty and gives the Pats the powerplay. Shots are 9-4 Lethbridge.

....Nothing on the powerplay. No shots. Lethbridges PK is very active and are very much in your face not allowing any chances for the Pats.

....18:50 Martell takes a tripping penalty giving the Canes the powerplay.

....13-4 shots for Lethbridge after the first period. Ketlo's been outstanding.
