Regina, Saskatchewan – With the regular season set to begin next week, the Regina Pats have trimmed their roster this afternoon, re-assigning 3 players:

18 year old forward, Brennan Tutt has been re-assigned to Junior A

19 year old forward, Jesse Hall has been re-assigned to Junior A

20 year old forward, Cass Mappin has been re-assigned and placed on WHL Waivers.

The blue and white will complete the WHL preseason this Saturday in Saskatoon with a 7:05 puck drop. "The home of the home teams" 620 CKRM will have all of the action beginning with the Press Box pregame show at 6:35.

My thoughts....
I can't say as I was suprised by any of these cuts. Tutt was just trying to find a home and unfortunately he missed training camp and was that much behind in the grand scheme of things. Hall never really impressed me nor did he disappont me. It never looked like he was able to step it up to the proverbial "next level" to stand out. Unfortunately he never did. Mappin was a disappointment to me from most perspectives. At times last season he looked like he could be a top notch power forward and then just completely disappear. This year at training camp he was definitely a marked man (I don't know why to be honest) and now that he's gone maybe it will be the best for the team.
