Pats Swap Euros
2009-10-16

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats have switched things up concerning their imports. They have sent one import home, and added another. Michal Poletin has been sent back to the Czech Republic. In 8 games with the Pats this season, Poletin has a goal and an assist and 4 minutes in penalties.

In the empty import position, the Pats have added 18 year old forward Hampus Gustafsson. Gustafsson spent training camp with the Saskatoon Blades, but was the odd man out in their import situation. He was a member of Sweden’s U-18 team, but was unable to play because of an ankle injury.

This leaves the Pats with the CHL maximum of 2 import players as Gustafsson joins second year forward, Tomas Hricina in the line-up.

Gustafsson will arrive in Regina tonight, and is still a question mark for tomorrow night’s game as the Lethbridge Hurricanes take on the Pats. It’s a 7pm puck drop at the Brandt Centre. For tickets, go to www.reginapats.com, or phone the Ticketmaster box office at 543-7800.
