Gearing up for Pats camp

From Rod's blog....

Countdown To Pats Training Camp

Regina, Saskatchewan – Hockey season is just around the corner and the Regina Pats will get things underway in three days. On Thursday, August 20th, both rookies and vets will open camp in Lumsden with registration 5pm and the first practice at 7pm.

Player fitness testing was Monday August 17th at Douglas Park, before they embark on a 3 day team retreat.

New Faces:

The two most obvious new faces will be patrolling the Pats bench. Curtis Hunt returns to the blue and white after a season coaching in the NHL and AHL. While assistant coach Shaun Sutter will start his first coaching job after a lengthy pro hockey career.

What did you do this summer?

It’s been a busy summer for a trio of Pat players participating in separate Hockey Canada events. Colten Teubert and Jordan Eberle spent last weekend with Canada’s World Junior Team’s summer camp in Saskatoon. Jordan Weal just won gold at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka U-18 Tournament. He had a goal and 4 assists for Team Canada.
